Spring Series - Greenfields Party-goer

If all goes well, the Spring Festival should be coming up soon...by that I mean sometime in late April or early May. Anyway, I've been thinking about the Feast of the Greenfields, which was added literally as a tribute to St. Patrick's Day back in 2009. The handheld Bullroarer's Tankard, the Greenfields Clover Hat, and clover patch are all that comes to mind. St. Patty's Day is on the 17th, and in lieu of the festival that gets pushed back later each year, this outfit is a tribute to the "Eat, drink, and be merry!" March holiday. Except that this tribute is being done Hobbit style! On the 17th, log into the game with a few friends and kinnies, take the group down to the Shire and celebrate with a pint!

Speaking of the festival, I remember my first time taking my other Hobbit, Asphodella, through the two tiers of Bullroarer's Challenge. I hadn't anticipated how difficult it would be running and leaping across a series of zigzagging fences to a platform while drunk. It took three days of trying until I realized I could disable the blurry drunken effects by turning off post processing in the options menu. I probably would have got it on the first go if I knew that sooner!

I haven't outfitted any Hobbits since December. And I've yet to attempt Dwarves, but that's a different story. Female Hobbits are absolutely adorable in dresses and when carrying or wearing some kind of flower. In the meantime, I'll try to spend time working with my two Hobbits. They're certainly a cosmetic challenge for me, as I generally use Elvish characters or those from the Race of Man. Shoulders seem to be the worst when working with Hobbits. Most pieces fitting into that slot clips with cloaks and hair. The plus side to Hobbits? I've finally gotten used to the bare feet.

BLOG ANNOUNCEMENT: Remember my Sorrow for Elder Days post and how I talked about my feelings regarding LOTRO? I have to admit that I've been feeling this way since November. The drive to play and outfit has severely diminished since then. This is a decision that I don't make lightly, but I've decided to bring this blog to an end over the next couple of months. Lest more favorable elements persuade me, I plan on following though with this.

Head: Circlet of Fresh-picked Flowers (Forest green, Farmer's Faire barter reward)
Shoulders: Padded Mantle of the Dunland Soothsayer (Dark green, Dunland quest reward)
Chest: Innkeeper's Dress (Forest green, LOTRO Store)
